Improving the filtering effect
The retaining capacity of your filter unit is given by the size of silica sand grains, used in the filter.
Replace sand with Zelbrite filtration medium, which has several times greater surface area of grains and can capture finer particles. It also captures nitrates contained in the water. It will save you resources and improve the purity of water.
More tips for better pool maintenance
In order to feel good in the outdoor swimming pool, water temperature of 22 - 24 ° C is sufficient. However, the water reaches this temperature for only a very short time of the year. The main reason for the water cooling is the natural heat loss.
The greatest loss of pool water heat, which constitutes 40 - 80%, is caused by evaporation. This process is affected mainly by the wind, which increases evaporation at least five-fold compared to windless conditions. This is connected with the heat losses which occur on the surface by heat dissipation into the colder layers of air above the water. These losses are dependent on wind conditions and air temperature and represent up to 30% of total heat loss. These losses can be significantly reduced by covering pool with a solar blanket and a pool enclosure.
Another loss is caused by the transition of heat from the walls of the pool to the outer layer of concrete. These losses are minimal (about 5%). Threse can be prevented by insulating bottom and sides of a pool with rigid Styrofoam (floor type) with a thickness of 2 cm placed between the pool and the concrete shell. Temperature losses resulting from adding of new water are between 5 and 8%. The technical solution to preventing these would not be economical, it is better to take them into account.
Because of all this heat loss, the water must be heated, which represents large costs. This can be done in several ways, so you should carefully consider before choosing the best solutions.
Heat exchangersThese are devices have vertical or horizontal design with a heat exchanger, made from copper lined stainless steel or other suitable material. We offer recuperation exchangers, in which both substances, between which heat is transferred heat, are separated by a solid surface. Heat transfer takes place continuously during permanent flow of water. Exchangers are used particularly in combination with gas flow-through water heater, central heating or solar collectors with their own medium.
Heat exchanger connected to gas heater is the best option for enclosed pools.
Electric flow-through heatersElectric heaters are connected to the circuit, where they directly heat circulating water from the pool. Compared to other ways of heating they have relatively low cost, require virtually no maintenance, but their operation is more expensive.
On using solar energy for heating pool water you can only count a few months of the year. Currently, the system is becoming more attractive particularly in economic terms. Solar heating has a higher acquisition cost, but almost zero operating costs.
Our company provides collectors with a direct flow of pool water. The temperature remains relatively low; there is small likelihood of scale formation on internal walls of pipes or absorbers.
Collectors do not have a transparent cover. They are made from polypropylene or high-density polyethylene, which is flexible and highly resistant to mechanical damage, high temperatures, UV radiation, as well as chlorine and other chemicals used in the treatment of swimming pool water. The area of the collector should be at least 70% of the area of the pool and it can be used more than 120 days a year.

Solar blanketsSolar blankets prevent the escape of heat (especially at night) and introduction of impurities into the pool. We supply solar blankets with several types of reels.
The reelReels are used for storing solar blankets. We provide several types of reels. The stationary reel is firmly bolted to the pavement around the pool, portable reel can be transported with the help of another person, or mobile reel, with wheels or casters, which can moved even by one person.
If you have not quite excluded the future possibility of water heating, automatic dosing of chemicals, etc., we recommend that you make preparations for installation of this equipment. These consist of installing two ball valves leading from the filtration device (this inexpensive step will save you money and headache, should you decide to install heating or dosing in the future).
With indoor pools, the evaporation of water increases the interior humidity. High humidity environment is very unpleasant to stay in, but most undesirable is excessive building moisture and the emergence of mold. If the pool is in operation during the winter months, it is not convenient to permanently ventilate these areas. It is necessary to install a dehumidifier. in a dehumidifier The air is transferred through evaporator, where the moisture condenses and is collected into a drain while heated dry air is returned to the room. The Size of the dehumidifier should be designed according to the pool specifications. For small pools the device is portable, for larger pools it must be built-in.
