Improving the filtering effect
The retaining capacity of your filter unit is given by the size of silica sand grains, used in the filter.
Replace sand with Zelbrite filtration medium, which has several times greater surface area of grains and can capture finer particles. It also captures nitrates contained in the water. It will save you resources and improve the purity of water.
More tips for better pool maintenance
JIt is easy to say that you want to do something for your health. However, how can you do it when public swimming pools are constantly full of people and water in lakes and ponds is not exactly tempting? The purchase of your own pool in such a situation is certainly the ideal solution.
However, it is a long-term investment and therefore you should carefully consider several issues:
For swimming pools for children, or pools intended for smaller spaces, we recommend the size up to 6 x 3 m at a depth of 1.2 m, which are pleasingly inexpensive. Medium sized pools up to 8 x 4 m and depth of 1.5 meters are suitable particularly for spending family leisure time and you will be surprised by an excellent price-to-feature ratio. For more demanding active recovery pools with the length of 10 m, and width of 4-6 m are ideal. Your pool will give the representative and luxurious impression particularly when constructed in unconventional shape (L-shape, kidney shape etc ...), outdoor type pools with interior pavement or indoor pools with spillover trough and fully automatic control.
Not every pool, of course, can be used all year round. If your choice falls on the outdoor type with no enclosure, you can expect your swimming season to lasts about one to two months. If you invest in a pool enclosure and a heating system, the swimming time can be prolonged to about half a year. Indoor swimming pools are, of course, operational throughout the year.
Choose your swimming pool location wisely, because future changes are no longer possible. Outdoor types can make good use of sunlight, so try to situate the pool where it is in sunlight for most of the day. An alternative could be the use of solar heating equipment - in this case, the pool should be located near the heating system. Do not forget the relaxation areas in the vicinity of the pool, enough room for pool enclosure rails or space for filtration equipment (preferably in a cellar or in the basement of the house).
If your dream is an indoor pool, you should consider it already when designing the house itself. Our architect and production engineer will be happy to assist you in case of any uncertainty.
Good care is, of course, reflected on the lifetime of the equipment. Our pools are not demanding on maintenance, you can easily handle it yourself and it will not take too much of your time. The road to clean water is simple: two to three times a week to check the pH level and disinfection, and once a week clean up the swimming pool with a special vacuum cleaner.
