Improving the filtering effect
The retaining capacity of your filter unit is given by the size of silica sand grains, used in the filter.

Replace sand with Zelbrite filtration medium, which has several times greater surface area of grains and can capture finer particles. It also captures nitrates contained in the water. It will save you resources and improve the purity of water.

How to treat the pool water

Especially in the summer months, at the time of holidays, etc. the issue of water purity in the pool becomes more pronounced. The best way to keep the water clean, sanitary and odor free is to maintain your pool regularly.

To do this, when purchasing a pool from us, you will receive a very detailed instructions from which you learn how often to test for and dose each chemical, what kind of water to use for filling the pool and a lot of other useful information. If you have a problem with water cleanness and the need "first aid", here is a description of most common cases and way of getting rid of their causes.

Water is cloudy

CAUSE

Over-production of bacteria and algae due to high frequency swimming pool use, high temperatures, excessive rains, dirt accumulation, etc., or filtering capacity decrease.

REMEDY

Check the pH level and the content of active chlorine in water and adjust, if necessary.
Check proper functioning of filtering equipment.
Add flocculent.
Clean filter.

Water is misty green, walls and bottom of the pool are slippery.

CAUSE

Increased algae growth

REMEDY

Check pH level and adjust, if necessary
Mechanically clean the walls of the pool and vacuum the algae.
Check the content of active chlorine and adjust, if necessary.
Apply algaecide.
Increase the filter cycle speed.

Water is still green

CAUSE

Presence of dead algae, which the filter is not able to clean

REMEDY

Check the filter, clean if necessary.
Use coagulant and clean coagulated particles from the bottom with a vacuum cleaner.
Increase the filter cycle speed

Water is brown

CAUSE

High concentrations of iron or manganese (usually when well water is used)

REMEDY

Check the pH level and active chlorine content and adjust, if necessary.
Flocculate.
Add algaecide.
Increase the filter cycle speed

Water is milky white

CAUSE

High concentration of calcium and magnesium ions.

REMEDY

Check pH level and adjust, if necessary.
Flocculate.
Add CTX 605 as prevention.
Increase the filter cycle speed.

Stains on walls

CAUSE

Presence of metal salts I the water (usually when well water is used).

REMEDY

Drain pool and clean walls with disinfectant.

Strong chlorine odor

CAUSE

Low pH level or over chlorination (see “testing for chlorine”), chloramines formation.

REMEDY

Check the pH level and active chlorine content and adjust, if necessary.

Eye and skin irritation

CAUSE

Low pH level or high chlorine level

REMEDY

Check pH level and adjust, if necessary

Manganese and calcium salt deposits on pool walls, bottom and ladder

CAUSE

Increased water hardness

REMEDY

Stabilize water hardness and prevent sedimentation using CTX 605

Corrosion of metal components

CAUSE

High water acidity.

REMEDY

Check pH level, adjust if necessary.

During high water temperatures (prolonged heat, active water heating), the pH value increases faster and more persistently depending on water hardness. This can be avoided more frequent pH level and chlorine regulation, and the application of CTX 605 and CTX 22.

If the quality of water in your pool is not as you would like it to be, or when you have neglected maintenance, or you simply do not know what to do, do not add everything you can get your hands on into it. When dosing exactly follow instruction manuals and measurement results. Incorrect dosing can have exactly quite the opposite effect than you might expect.
