Chemicals Dosing
If you do not have covered swimming pool or if you swim while the enclosure is open, the water surface is exposed to UV radiation. This radiation breaks apart free chlorine contained in water.
Disinfecting agents dose the night after the swimming. By the next morning the water will be clean and these substances evenly diluted.
Construction of a pool begins with ground work. After laying out the pool and all trenches, excavation work shall be carried out. Here it is necessary to consider the structure of soil and terrain accessibility, and accordingly decide whether excavate by hand or with machinery.
The advantages of mechanization are mainly in the speed and comfort. We must consider whether the machine can get to the property, and whether heavy vehicles will not cause damage. Machine digging has the disadvantage of lesser accuracy, resulting in a greater consumption of concrete or the need for framing.
Hand excavation is more accurate, and friendly to the surrounding environment. It is recommended for finished gardens and hard to reach locations.
As the excavated soil gains volume considerably, its removal should be taken into account. If ground water or excessive surface water is present on your property, drainage system around the pool and the filtration shaft must be installed and connected to the sewer or to a well. We do not assume any responsibility for damage to the pool or its components.
For pouring the foundation slab, we recommend B20 concrete, using two layers of steel mesh. The height tolerance should be ± 5 mm, with overflow pools ± 2 mm. After it cures it is covered with rigid polystyrene (not the common type!) preferably Styrodur. This eliminates small surface imperfections and contributes to a lesser cooling of water in the pool. Foundation slab below the filtration shaft should be made of B15concrete without reinforcements.
Next, the vertical walls are constructed. The walls can be built from hollow polystyrene or concrete blocks. Polystyrene has the advantage of simultaneously insulating the pool. When using concrete blocks, it is necessary to insulate the outside of the swimming pool wall with polystyrene. When constructing the pool walls, individual rows of blocks must be laterally offset and fitted with horizontal and vertical steel reinforcements. Necessary pool fitting (jets, lights, skimmers, etc. must also be fitted according to on drawings supplied with the pool). Then the walls are gradually filled fill with B15concrete around the entire perimeter of the pool.
When using polystyrene blocks, it is necessary to finish the pool wall with a 5 cm thick concrete beam rim over the whole width of the blocks so the foil mounting rails can later be attached..
After pouring the walls, it is necessary to eliminate small surface imperfections inside the pool. This is done by using smoothing compound and fiberglass mesh (EIFS stucco mesh), which are applied to the walls simultaneously. To thus prepared surface can the non-woven fabric liner and pool foil be installed.
All fields have to be filled.
