Improving the filtering effect
The retaining capacity of your filter unit is given by the size of silica sand grains, used in the filter.
Replace sand with Zelbrite filtration medium, which has several times greater surface area of grains and can capture finer particles. It also captures nitrates contained in the water. It will save you resources and improve the purity of water.
More tips for better pool maintenance
Sand filterHigh quality sand filter is a necessary requirement for maintaining the water purity in the pool. It is therefore necessary to consider mainly whole filtration performance (not the pump’s!) when at the water flow volume of 50 m3/hod/m2. The whole volume of a family swimming pool should be filtered inside 6 hour period (it is necessary to have the required number of skimmers or suction devices at the bottom of the pool).
We propose the filter type and size depending on the pool design and its parameters in such a way that it meets the requirements provided by a regulation.
SkimmerSkimmer diverts water from the pool to the filtration unit.
There are several types and sizes of skimmers. Skimmer type is determined by the type of the pool. One or more can be used, depending on the size of the pool.
Water distributionThe entire water circulating system is made from welded heavy gauge PVC pipes, hoses and couplings. The pipeline includes connections of individual parts of the pool to the filtration unit including the the sewer connection (if ordered). Price is determined by the complexity of distribution and the distance between the pool and the filtration unit or the retention tanks (pools with overflow).
Jets bring water back into the pool, according to its size we install 2 - 8 jets. In smaller family pools, the number and location of recirculation jets is not as important, as in large pools. In pools with skimmers, jets are located at the top of the pool, in pools with overflow at the bottom.
Bottom drain (foil pools), bottom intake (plastic pools) is used to improve the recirculation of water in the pool. The filtration device sucks water through the skimmer and through the drain, so better mixing of pool chemicals is achieved. Using the bottom drain the pool can also be entirely drained..
